Place to Be

A space to dedicated to the practice of Ashtanga Yoga, as well as other healing traditions in the heart of the Cretan countryside.

Located in Stavros, a small fishing village to the north of the island of Crete, Greece, we offer daily Mysore classes as well as a guesthouse and fantastic Cretan food.

Throughout the season Adam Keen is the residential teacher, for a morning Mysore program as well as interludes with other experienced teachers. Throughout the day there are also other therapeutic methods to experience depending on the visiting practitioners.

Philosophy of The Place to Be

It has been our experience that the Ashtanga yoga practice provides a steadiness and willingness to explore further the path of self-knowledge and healing.

To that end, our centre is founded upon a morning Mysore-style yoga program, whilst other therapeutic traditions are offered after morning class to accompany and enrich
Each student’s current journey with the practice.

The residential teacher is Adam and throughout the year we also host a handful of the best Ashtanga yoga teachers. As well as this, there are visiting teachers hosting workshops on other traditions (see schedule)
